So You Do All The Healthy Things, Now What? 4 Ways To Up-level Your Health
Health is a long-term game, especially when you have a holistic mindset.
Your health depends on your stress levels, hormonal cycle, life events, job happenings, environmental changes etc. Your health is always shifting along with the cycles of life.
You know this.
You eat healthy and look the best you ever have, but what else can you do to level up your health game? The work is never done, so what’s next for you on this ever-changing journey of optimal health?
I’m Abby – a Holistic Copywriter and Holistic Lifestyle Coach. I’ve been at this whole ‘healthy life’ thing for a while, so I know a thing or two about refining your health!
Here are some ideas to up-level your health when you’ve been at this for a while:
Your Water Quality
What is the quality of your water?
Water is often overlooked in the holistic community. But babe, you are almost all water. So you bet your water quality is influencing your ability to reach optimal health!
Water serves daily vital functions of the body and is the basis for blood production. Water is what you are. Drinking high-quality water is a non-negotiable if you are in the long-term health game.
Most tap water is toxic, containing chemicals like fluoride, chlorine, pharmaceutical drugs, etc. It’s never a good idea to drink tap water. Never.
If you’re health conscious and STILL drinking tap water, stop. It’s only worsening your health. And exposing your body to chemicals isn’t necessary.
Make sure the water you drink is bioavailable, meaning your body assimilates it properly. (Can you believe some water is NOT bioavailable for us? I mean who would’ve thought?!)
Truth is - most of the water you consume is unstructured, depleted of minerals, and toxic. To make bad water bioavailable again, your body has to pull vitality from your organs and cells. And they already work so hard for you. You don’t need that in your life.
Here are some water resources for all price points…
Filter your water. If it’s reverse osmosis, restructure it with mineral drops. Here are the mineral drops I use: Trace Mineral Drops
Explore this website: https://waterislife.shop/ for water filtration options under $100
Get the water system I use. The Water Machine. I found this through the above website, and I love it.
Invest in a whole-house filter. So every tap in your house is clean with no chemicals.
Consider a kangen water machine. These are top-notch high-scale water systems. An investment for sure. But medical-grade water that will change your life. Buy your machine
2. Your Supplement Game
Uping your supplement game can radically improve your health!
It’s no surprise that food can only do so much these days. With our soils depleted of vital nutrients, we have to depend on supplements.
Most supplements on the market are sketchy (since they don't do what they promise) and even rancid. Yep, you read that right, rancid! Most supplements are filled with oils that are not shelf-stable. Yuck
My basic recommendation with supplementing is to only use them when you need to.
(This will be more obvious if you do a blood test and can see what you’re deficient in.)
Another point here is to check in with your body (this is a no-brainer, literally). But I love reiterating this… Even with the recommended dosage of supplements, your body always has the last say. Do some intuitive check-ins, use muscle testing, try a pendulum, etc. to see what your body needs and how much it needs.
The supplements I use: Magnesium, CBD, and sometimes P3OM when I need it. (CBD I buy at a local health store, and the others are from Bioptimizers.) Since investing in these, I have experienced better sleep and better digestion. Remember this is what works for me and my body!
Always invest in your supplements, looking for:
High-quality
Organic
Third-party tested
…so you get the most bang for your buck, for your money and your health!
My favorite go-to supplement brand is Bioptimizers, but I also love Paleovalley, Organifi, and Cymbiotika.
Refining your supplement game could be the missing link in your health game.
3. When’s The Last Time You Tested Your Blood?
If you don’t test your body, you won’t know if you’re helping or hurting yourself. A blood test is a great way to see how your body is responding from the inside. A health game changer!
The body keeps the score, always. So getting an actual test done will do so much for your health and wellbeing to keep you on track. As my mentor Paul Chek would say, “Don’t guess, assess!”
This is super important because the body always tells the truth. Seeing actual numbers can help you modify your:
Routines
Foods
Supplements
Carb/Protein/Fat intake
…etc. so you can feel your best.
Health is a constant refinement process. When you can quantify your experience in a way that makes you feel/look better, then do it!
Blood tests are super accessible and you don’t have to visit your doctor’s office to make it happen. Here’s the company I’ve used: Quest Diagnostics.
Blood tests also indicate food sensitives, cholesterol levels, organ health, and more. If health is your priority, then these are vital to know! Blood tests offer invaluable feedback to ensure optimal health!
4. Regular Body Check-ins
I have implemented this into my routine a few times a year, and it’s up-leveled my health.
Body check-ins I swear by:
Muscle testing
Self-reflective journaling
Using a pendulum
Practicing awareness when I eat or workout
Meditation
This is the opportunity to see if your mentality is aligned with your body.
Usually, this is a great time to recenter towards your original intention(s) and goal(s). You can refine when something isn’t working for you like you thought it would. Or change your direction completely. Bring yourself back to the drawing board. And be honest.
Recently, I realized that intense workouts without yoga sprinkled in, are not good for my body. I need days to stretch with slow breathing to even keep up with those intense workouts. But this only works if I get real honest with myself.
Too often we identify with a routine or method because it worked for someone else. Maybe that person has the body we want or the lifestyle we crave. But you forget how vital it is to check in with YOUR body and what it says.
We can pull inspiration from what others do for their health, but it’s important to stay true to your body and its needs. This is why I advocate for embodiment and knowing your unique energy. Body check-ins are a great way to practice embodiment.
Muscle testing is explained by Paul Chek in this video: Does Muscles Testing Work?
Authentic body check-ins will never let you down, and may hold the key to uplevel your health!
Up-level Your Health, Up-level Your Life
You’ve been on this winding health journey for a while. You know what it’s like to refine yourself and find balance. But sometimes we need reminders about the basics.
Your body is always changing and it’s important to change your habits alongside it. This is huge for your body’s health and longevity. If you aren’t maintaining and upleveling, then you’re missing out on optimal health.
Implementing these 4 points will help you continue to uplevel your health and well-being!
Love and Vitality,
Abby
